Because I couldn't find a good dog group close to home that had monthly Meet-Ups, I decided to start one. If you have an easy going, non-aggressive, dog and want to meet other local dog lovers, join our group.

I wanted to start this group to get some playmates for my puppy and thought others might want to find other dogs to play with in Ahwatukee.

I am forming this group for JRT owners in the east valley. After reading the names of other folks interested in such a group (including my friend Sandi who runs the Russell Rescue located near Recker and Baseline), I thought I'd try my hand at organizing a Meetup Group. We will have a set Meetup every other Saturday. We play a mix of Fantasy Flight games, war games, party games and euro games depending on the preferences of who comes. There is a list of games we have played in the past on the discussion board and a list of the games we own on the about page. Anyone 20+ that enjoys playing board games and possibly learning new ones is welcome. Just as a warning we have two friendly dogs that you will hardly notice once we start playing.

The Mesa East Lions Club's is a volunteer, community service organization. We serve the community by providing glasses, hearing aids, and braille readers for needy children and even leader dogs for the blind. We actively support the Boys & Girls Club and Ronald McDonald House. We send care service packages to servicemen. We also do various social events. The group is open to people 18+ years old who have a heart for community service.
